New! Live Chat feature installed

I have just installed a live chat widget to the blog.   If I am online it will say "click here to chat" and if I am not, it will say "leave a message."

I hope this is one additional tool that you will find helpful in getting your advising questions answered.

Health Science Group Advising Sessions - Beginning Soon

Questions about your Health Science academic plan?

Please consider attending a group advising session this semester.

The first sessions are scheduled next week for General Academic planning for HS majors.   Advising sessions are both on campus and online.   To join the online sessions, you will have to register online and you will be sent a link to join the group before the session begins.  You will be happier with your online experience if you have a headset and can talk, but you'll be fine if you can just hear and type in your questions.

Tuesday, 2/25 (online) 12:30-1:30   Register in advance
Wednesday, 2/26 5-6 pm (MH 324)

Spring 2014 Health Science Advising

Now that the excitement of enrollment and first week jitters are (nearly) behind us we can focus on the semester that lay ahead.

While you are working hard in your courses - engaged, thinking critically, and motivated to learn - the advising team will be creating ways to support your understanding of the HS curriculum and academic planning.     What we are already offering (or plan to):

1.  Group advising sessions - on campus and online - beginning in late February
2.  Drop-in advising with the peer advisors beginning the first week of February
3.  One on one appointment's available with the department advisor - use the tool on this blog to schedule an appointment.

In addition to these advising services, we want to create some helpful online tools, such as instructional videos or screencasts, that can answer your questions.

If you have an idea that you'd like to see us implement or a question that you'd like us to answer, please tell us!
