The advising availability schedule has been updated and all of the dates are posted. Fall 2015 graduation applications are the absolute priority up through the May 1st (firm) University deadline - which means - forms must be completely processed by our department prior to May 1st! The next priority will be academic planning for the fall semester. To support students in academic planning we have an event scheduled on May 5th from 12-2 in Hugh Gillis Hall (room 122) where faculty will be talking about summer opportunities, faculty led programs, and academic planning. If you do not get a chance to meet with an advisor during the dates that are available this spring there will be a few opportunities over the summer to meet on campus, but all should plan on attending the fall welcome assembly.
Fall 2015 Welcome Back Assembly is being planned for August 19th from 1-5. It is expected that all students in the Health Science and Recreation department will attend this event - so save the date! We will discuss important department information, student clubs and involvement, events, and advising. This is a great way to connect and stay up to date with processes, procedures, expectations, and opportunities.

Emergency Advising Available this Thursday (4/16) 1-4 PM
Faculty advising will be available this Thursday afternoon in MH 409. All students planning on graduating in the fall must submit a graduation application to the Health Science office for approval and processing this week (by April 17, 2015) in order to be ready by the University deadline.
Graduation Application forms and Major Forms are available on this blog under the Advising Forms tab. Both forms are required to be fully completed, signed, and received by the Registrar prior to the May 1st deadline.
If you have questions - this Thursday would be a great time to get them answered. The advising availability calendar has been updated - so sign up for a time slot online that works for you.

Pilot testing Major Forms
Health Science Students are needed to pilot test new electronic Major Forms.
I need at least 20 students to complete an electronic Major Form and give me some informal feedback on the process. If you need to complete a Major Form for graduation - this would help you (and me) tremendously!
Thank you for considering.
If you are interested/able - please sign up and I will send you more information.

I will be holding a graduation application workshop on Monday March 16th, 2015 in Clark Hall Fishbowl room 100G from 11-1. The workshop will cover the forms required and answer questions about academic planning for senior Health Science students.
Graduation applications are due to the Department in early April so we can approve and process the forms before the firm University deadline of May 1.
Applications require the completion of the one page Graduation Application form and a Major Form. Both of these forms are linked as downloadable files here.
