Health Science Course Scheduling Survey

Dear Health Science Students,

As you may know, with several campus buildings under construction, it has been increasingly difficult to find classrooms during the busiest times of day.

We would like to hear from you about your availability and preferences for the timing of classes so that we can do our best to schedule classes that work for the most people. Please take this survey to let us know your preferences.

We really appreciate your feedback!

Best,

Miranda Worthen

We wanted to share two great resources with you all!

First, we came across this website at Elon University on the prerequisites for various careers in the health professions and thought some of you might like to look at it.

The site gives the general guidelines for pursing further eduction in Medicine, Nursing, Dentistry, Physician Assistant, Public Health, Nutrition and lots more.

This site can give you a basic sense of what programs across the country require of applicants. Many of the courses you would need to take as prerequisites can be taken here at SJSU or at a community college.

Second, I have just bought two copies of an awesome book called "101+ Careers in Public Health." The book does a great job of describing some of the MANY career options for those entering the public health field with a bachelors, MPH, or further training. There are also really nice profiles of people in various careers.

You are welcome to come check out the book in my office, SPX 209. I'll leave a copy with the peer advisors, too, and you'll be able to look at it anytime the peer advisors are available.

Enjoy!
